We’re here to clear up why your TommyClub price might change if you move or switch your primary wash location.

Locally owned and operated

Tommy’s Express is a franchise in 30+ states across the nation. Each Tommy’s Express location sets pricing for single washes and unlimited wash subscriptions because the locations are locally owned and operated. 

You can use your TommyClub membership at any of our locations, but the price you will be charged depends on where you wash the most.  

For most guests, this is at the site where they signed up. But, we understand that commutes, habits, and home addresses are more than likely to change.  

When this happens, members who continue to enjoy unlimited washing at a new Tommy’s Express will have their prices adjusted to reflect the pricing of the location where they now wash the most.  

Here is an example. Last year, you signed up for a TommyClub Unlimited membership at Location A in Texas and wash for a year.

After a year, you move and wash at Location B in Florida with different pricing.  

As your routine shows to have changed, your membership price will be automatically updated to Location B, your new primary wash site.

Simply download the app, enter your payment and vehicle information, accept our terms and conditions, and start washing.

You’re welcome to choose any wash package you’d like (but our favorite is The WORKS!) You’ll get an email confirming your 30 days of washing has begun, and a reminder when it’s about to end. 

2. Can Tommy’s Express wash dually pickup trucks?

Yes! We can wash vehicles up to 96 inches wide and 84 inches tall. With our conveyor belt entry, we’re also able to wash low-profile vehicles. That means that most Jeeps, lowered vehicles, dually pickup trucks, and even lifted vehicles fit comfortably through the arches.  

If you’re unsure, stop and ask a team member if your vehicle can go through at your local Tommy’s Express location. 

3. Does Tommy’s Express have towels? 

You’re in luck! Tommy’s Express uses a specialized drying agent with our spot-free rinse. These two products, and our powerful heated dryers, create a potent synergy to send your vehicle off the belt with little to no water left behind. As you exit the belt and the wind hits your vehicle, the combination should blow the rest of the water off.

You will leave our wash 85% dry, but with our spot-free water, there is no need to dry off your vehicle! Simply drive 2-3 miles down the road and your vehicle will be completely dry and spot-free.

Additionally, our reverse osmosis systems use a powerful filtration system to produce purified water for the spot-free rinse. Even if some water is on your vehicle, once it does dry, you’ll never know it was there! No towels needed.

Tommy’s Express gift cards are an excellent way to give the gift of a clean car.  

They’re great for special occasions or events, giveaways, raffles, holidays, or even birthdays. Anyone who cares about keeping their vehicle in tip-top shape will love a car wash gift card. It’s practical but still a little bit of a luxury. Heck, you can buy them for yourself! We won’t tell. 

Where’s my gift card? 

Our gift cards are physical cards that are easy to slip into a card or card holder for the perfect gift display.  

You can purchase Tommy’s Express gift cards online or at your favorite location. 

If you ordered online, you’ll have an email receipt but will not receive an electronic gift card. 

After our team receives your order, we fulfill your request, package it, and place it in the mail to be delivered to your front door. Always be an early bird shopper! Gift cards will take about 2-3 weeks to be in your mailbox.

How to use Tommy’s Express gift cards 

If you haven’t already, start by downloading the Tommy’s Express app in your favorite app store. Follow these steps to redeem your 1 or 3 month(s) of unlimited car washing: 

Current Guests 

1. Log in to the app, then tap the navigation lines in the top left-hand corner. 

2. Tap Redeem Gift Card or Code. 

3. Enter or scan your coupon code. 

4. Tap Next – Bottom of the screen. 

5. Select the plan and vehicle you want to apply the code to. 

6. Tap Next – Bottom of the screen. 

7. Review and save your information. 

New to TommyClub? 

1. Log in to the app using your favorite email address. 

2. Tell us a bit about you and then add your vehicles in My Garage, by tapping the + sign. 

3. When selecting a plan after adding your vehicles, enter the redemption code on the line above the Unlimited/PayPerWash toggle. 

4. The gift card will automatically be applied, discounting the cost of the plan to 0.00. 

5. Tap and turn off Auto Renew. 

6. Tap Save. 

7. Tap Continue. 

8. Tap skip in the upper right-hand corner. This allows you to skip adding a payment method.

Vehicle prep helps keep everyone safe

Just like vehicle owners make sure their windows are rolled up to prep for the wash, our team members are also looking over your vehicle to get it ready. 

We’re checking for vehicle damage that may be an issue in the wash, like excessive rust or car parts that are cracked, taped, or tied on. Team members also check truck beds looking for rogue bungee cords, ratchet straps, ropes, landscaping materials, or other gems. 

In case you didn’t know, we service trucks of all shapes and sizes. And yes, if you have a dualie pickup truck, you can wash it at Tommy’s Express!

Truck bed checks help everyone

After our team members have worked at the wash long enough, they see quite a collection of hazards in truck beds. Nothing is intentionally left in, of course, but sometimes owners forget an item or two that’s been tossed in the back. That truck bed is a real catchall for some drivers!

How do I use the promo code?

One common question from guests is how to use Tommy’s Express promo codes and gift cards.

When applying your promo code or gift card, you must begin by signing up on our Tommy’s Express Car Wash app. 

If you are new to TommyClub and joining for the first time, you can input your code during the sign-up process. Otherwise, if you are already a TommyClub member, you can still redeem your code without hassle.

Steps for applying a promo code in the Tommy’s Express app

1. If you already have a wash plan you’d like to apply the code to, tap the three navigation lines in the upper left-hand corner.
2. Tap Redeem Gift Card or Code.
3. Enter the code or scan the QR code or card.
4. Apply the plan you’d like to use the code on.
5. Review and save your information.
6. When selecting a plan after adding your vehicle details, enter the code on the line above the Unlimited/PayPerWash toggle.
7. The code will automatically select any applicable products. You will need to choose the plan type if there are no applicable products.
8. Complete your purchase, noting the discount applied at checkout.

This process works for applying both promo codes and gift cards.

It’s important to remember that when using a promo code, you can only apply it to ONE vehicle on your account.

So if you have more than one car, you’ll need a different code.

The date you sign up using your code will be when your wash subscription renews each month. This date will also be when the account credit card is charged unless you cancel your subscription beforehand.

Our Tommy’s Express team members relay this information when handing out our promotional codes and gift cards, as we strive to be as transparent as possible with our guests. 

The following payment will be at the standard monthly wash price after the free or discounted month of washes has ended.

Is anyone else looking forward to spring? I know I am, and my kids (both of them!) are too.   

But for now, we’re all still stuck inside per gross weather, and that’s getting really, really, really old. And, real talk, our house is an absolute disaster.  

They’re great kids, and I love them to death, but they’re still little and busy and crazy, and we’re busy too. This means that everything from their rooms to the kitchen to the basement, my office included, is pretty much a wreck despite our best efforts to keep on top of things.   

Messy spaces are legitimately stressful 

If you can relate to a minor domestic disaster, I feel you. And you should know that we aren’t just struggling over a non-issue here.   

Psychologists have shown that clutter and disorder in your physical space have a real effect on your mental state, reducing your ability to focus and even contributing to feelings of anxiety and depression. A growing mess at home can make the best of us feel out of control as the mental pressure piles on.   

But there is one space in my life that I have control of that looks and feels great, and it’s somewhere that I spend a lot of time.   

It’s my car!   

Yep. I’ve been driving the same car through winter weather for months now. The same car carries three kids to daycare and then school five days a week. The same car that I commute to work in every single day. A bit about me…

I have three kids. Two school-aged, one just about ready to pack up for college. And I really try to look for the positives in life, even when things are a little bit crazy and even when things are hard.

But, as I’m writing this, looking outside at the dark-green maple tree in my front yard, I know that it’s going to start turning gold for autumn soon, and I know I have to get my back-to-school checklists updated and a packing list for college too.

And you know what? I am STOKED!

Believe it or not, it was an incredibly rough school year last year. Parents, you know what I mean.

Whether your kids were in-person, remote, asynchronous, or even 100% homeschooled during the 2020-21 school year, it was a disruptive, stretching, character-building time for all of us. And after a long summer of making up for some of that lost time, I’m just looking forward to getting back to some normalcy.

And that’s why I’m so thankful for Tommy’s Express.

Why?

My youngest still loves car washes. Something about them (and Tommy’s Express in particular!) just seems to click with him. And while the other two kids were mostly ok with switching between online and in-person classes, it was rough on him.

With our TommyClub membership, regular trips to Tommy’s Express to get the car cleaned up became a family ritual for us last year, one that I kept going through the summer.
