Yes! We also offer a co-op program within our engineering department. Previous hires have worked in mechanical engineering and controls. Co-ops provide students with more in-depth and extensive work experience. Depending on your school’s co-op requirements, co-op durations vary.

Instead of a list of what to give up or cut out, here’s a different spin on it – five time-saving habits for 2023. They’re simple and easy to try. There are no right and wrong ways to develop habits. You need to find what works best for your life. Dive in!

Plan your week 

Saving time in 2023 can start with zooming out and looking at the calendar from a macro level. Slot in meetings and projects that need dedicated work time. Pencil in one big item to cross off your to-do list every morning – the brain is primed to attack hard work before lunch. Working on a computer? Make sure to schedule lunch and stretch breaks—your eyes and brain need it! When and where are you exercising? If you plan, you’re more likely to stick to it.

Cluster your errands

A touchless car wash is a very literal definition: No piece of car wash equipment touches the car. Everything that touches a car is sprayed on, either by a machine that rotates around the car or by hand with a hose and blaster.

After our team receives your order, we fulfill your request, package it, and place it in the mail to be delivered to your front door. Always be an early bird shopper! Gift cards will take about 2-3 weeks to be in your mailbox.

A conveyor belt car wash is much more forgiving than other washes that guide you in by lining up your wheels on a very narrow track. Ours doesn’t hook onto your car; it just carries you through the wash like a magic carpet ride. Talk about low stress! 

Because of our belt’s width flexibility, we welcome a variety of vehicles, such as lowered cars and larger trucks like dualies. The height limit for vehicles is 84 inches. 

The conveyor belt allows more cars to wash per hour due to the easy entrance and wider variety of wheel sizes allowed. That means shorter lines for you whenever you visit! 

How a conveyor belt car wash works 

Our conveyor belt car wash is a two-belt system. Each wheel lines up with one belt. 
 
Loading onto our easy-to-use car wash is a breeze. Here are the basics of how the engineering works: 

1. The belt on the driver’s side has rows of small nubs (or what we call flights).  
    

2. Left wheels fall in between two sets of flights.  
    

3. The flights then pull the vehicle along as it travels down the belt. 
    

4. Sprockets engage at the exit end of the tunnel on the underside of the belt to pull the belt along.

In 2016, the Tommy’s Express franchise was born with a vision to establish a recognized national car wash brand and expand globally.  

Serving communities, adding value, and enriching lives is the mantra Quality Car Wash and Tommy’s Express both live by, initially inspired by the Essenburgs.

Beginning with Quality Car Wash in 1969, the Essenburgs always put others before themselves and constantly expressed gratitude for those surrounding them. This heart of giving continued when they branched out to franchise internationally with Tommy’s Express Car Wash, which is still alive and thriving today.

As of Summer 2022, Jun Essenburg continues to lead by example by being a regular contributor at the office; despite being in his 90s, he values spending time with others and discussing the business.  

The visionary impact of these core values started by Sonny and Jun has continued to ripple into our efforts today as the story of Tommy’s Express continues to be written, carrying on the tradition of giving back to the communities who have welcomed us into their lives.
